Caring For Your Japanese Car

It does not matter if your Japanese car is new or used, taking proper care of it will help keep it in top notch shape all of the time. A Japanese car can last you over twenty years if you maintain it, and the worst problem you may deal with is the paint fading or the seats cracking if they are not made of leather. We know of a Toyota truck that is over twenty years old still running with over 200,000 miles in Manassas, Virginia because the original owner made sure it was well maintained.

So how should you maintain your Japanese car or truck to keep it running for over twenty years like our friend in Virginia? It is very easy. Always change the oil at 3,000 miles. Change the oil and the air filter. Keep the tires at the proper air pressure. Take it in for a yearly tune up at a professional auto shop so that things like cracking belts or hoses can be repaired before they break or cause damage to the vehicle. Run the vehicle with the recommended petrol octane. Keep salt, sand, or cinders that are put down on the roads in the winter off of your Japanese car as much as you can to keep it from rusting.

With the right maintenance, you too can make your Japanese car last over twenty years.
